Terms of Service
Effective date: August 14, 2026
Welcome to KeyFeed: RSS Keyword Radar ("KeyFeed", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the KeyFeed iOS app, the website at keyfeed.codemxm.com, and related support materials (collectively, the "Service"). By downloading, accessing, or using KeyFeed, you agree to these Terms.
1. About KeyFeed: RSS Keyword Radar
KeyFeed is a local-first RSS and Atom keyword monitoring app for iPhone and iPad. It watches feed sources you choose, creates matches when your keyword rules hit, and can send local notifications with optional context. KeyFeed is not a hosted feed reader service and does not provide the underlying news or blog content—you add the feed URLs you want to monitor.
2. Eligibility and Apple App Store terms
You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use KeyFeed. If you download KeyFeed from the Apple App Store, your use is also subject to Apple’s applicable terms, including the Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Apple is not responsible for providing maintenance or support for KeyFeed.
3. Accounts and local data
KeyFeed does not require an online account. Feeds, keyword rules, match history, preferences, and optional backups are stored on your device unless you explicitly export them or configure optional features such as webhook delivery.
4. Free version and KeyFeed Pro
The free version of KeyFeed includes limited feed and rule capacity. KeyFeed Pro is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase that unlocks additional features described in the app and on this website. Prices, feature limits, and availability may change for future app versions, but purchases are processed by Apple through your App Store account.
All billing, refunds, and payment disputes for in-app purchases are handled under Apple’s App Store policies. We do not store your payment card details.
5. Your feeds, rules, and responsibilities
You are responsible for the RSS and Atom feed URLs, keyword rules, OPML files, backups, and webhook endpoints you add to KeyFeed. You represent that you have the right to access and monitor the feeds you configure and that your use complies with applicable law and the terms of the sites you monitor.
- Do not use KeyFeed to harass, spam, or automate abusive requests against third-party servers.
- Do not attempt to bypass feed access restrictions, paywalls, or copyright protections through KeyFeed.
- Do not use KeyFeed for unlawful surveillance or to violate another person’s privacy.
6. Optional webhook automation
KeyFeed Pro may let you send match payloads to an HTTP or HTTPS endpoint you control. You are solely responsible for securing that endpoint, reviewing transmitted data, and complying with privacy obligations for any system that receives KeyFeed match JSON.
7. Third-party content and services
KeyFeed retrieves content from third-party RSS and Atom publishers that you select. We do not control, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy, availability, or legality of third-party content. Feed availability may change without notice.
KeyFeed uses Apple and RevenueCat services to validate purchases. Optional website analytics, if enabled, may be provided by a privacy-focused analytics vendor.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service. For example, you must not:
- Reverse engineer or modify the app except as permitted by applicable law.
- Use the Service to distribute malware or attempt unauthorized access to our systems.
- Interfere with the normal operation of the app or website.
9. Intellectual property
KeyFeed, its branding, and the website content we provide are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app according to the App Store license and these Terms. RSS and Atom content remains the property of its respective publishers.
10. Disclaimers
KeyFeed is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted monitoring, immediate alerts, error-free feed parsing, or that every relevant keyword match will be detected. Background refresh timing is controlled by iOS, not by KeyFeed.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for losses arising from missed alerts, unavailable feeds, third-party content, or webhook delivery failures.
12. Termination
You may stop using KeyFeed at any time by deleting the app from your device. We may suspend or discontinue the Service or any part of it where required by law, platform policy, or operational necessity.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised Terms on this page and update the effective date. Continued use of KeyFeed after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
